Welcome,

I’m Katy Zwiers – a shy introvert.

For years my shyness has hung around my neck like a heavy weight. I blush at the teeniest flicker of emotion and I clam up when faced with the attention of more than one person (in fact, even one if I don’t feel comfortable, which is with most people).

Although I’ve always been introverted and creative, I’ve not always been shy. In fact, when I was young, I had BIG DREAMS – I wanted to be a famous writer, or a Hollywood actress.

Where did that little girl go?!

Well, that little girl, who radiated in solitude and liked nothing better than enveloping herself in silence and a good book, began to feel like a freak in a world dominated by extroverts.

It’s practically impossible for an introvert to shine next to an extrovert. That’s the very essence of who they are – one shouts while the other hides.

But you know what, introverts? It’s time to Shyne!

We have BIG STUFF in our heads, even if we don’t shout about it. As we spend most of our time up there our minds are a whirling dervish of inspiration, thoughts and creative ideas that could massively impact the world if only we could be brave enough to let ourselves be seen.

I’ve always had an incredibly strong desire to put my busy brain to good use, but I’ve spent most of it frozen by a fear that I’m not enough: not loud enough, not fun enough and not nearly exciting enough.

I’ve spent many years searching for my lost confidence and dreams, and working on how to get a handle on my fear so as to be brave enough to make a difference in the world despite my timidity. (The fact that you are reading this shows that I am nearly there – I have learnt how to step through the clouds of fear into the light.)

Strangely, getting my own creativity out now doesn’t really interest me. I’m far more interested in showing others how to embrace their shy, introverted natures and Shyne brightly.

💫 The world needs our creativity more than ever right now!

I could add my own individual light, but I figure I’ll make a bigger difference by helping hundreds of other quiet souls uncover their own beaming lights. That will have a far bigger impact. I believe in letting myself be led by my passion and my energy, and as this is where mine currently lies, this is where I’m going.

The more parts of the world I can reach, the brighter the world will become as a whole.

If any of this resonates with you and you want to join me in quietly changing the world, please join my Facebook group or sign up to my newsletter

See you on the other side!
